VeraCrypt is an open source software and a fork of TrueCrypt (TrueCrypt has not had an update for quite a while now), both programs are cross-platform encryption software (Windows, MacOS, Linux). This was my last resort to encrypt Windows 10 Home edition laptop. Read more in the  linux-drifter.com site!!!
